Gulf Shores Day 6 (Fri, June 22)

Saying Goodbye the beach! I'm already ready to go back!!!!

Grace Ann waves goodbye to the pool!

Before we were even to Lamberts where we ate lunch as we headed north, Grace Ann, with beloved doll and bunny in arms, fell asleep!

Finally, out of the car so we can wiggle! Sweet cousins!

Gulf Shores Day 5 (Thurs., June 21)

Here's Catherine in action climbing in and out of the beach chairs.

Sweet Baby!

What a beautiful creation!

Gulf Shores Day 5 (Thurs, June 21), cont.

Catherine enjoyed crawling in the sand and all over the chairs.

Melanie, Grace and I picked up some beautiful shells -- there were TONS of them!

Catherine fell into the sand several times while crawling/climbing. I don't think she tried to eat any on purpose this time!!

Catherine was not afraid of the sand or ocean anymore! I hope she remembers this the next time we go to the beach, whenever that will be!

Gulf Shores Day 5 (Thurs, June 21)

The Dads with their girls at the pool!

After supper at a not-so-great restaurant, we stopped at the "Souvenir Shop" to look around. The big shark that is about to eat us is at the entrance to the building.

Then back to the beach where the men began work on a sand castle.

The men stand proudly and admire their creation. Mel and I thought it was a rather odd looking castle.

Last entry for Wednesday, I promise!

Grace and Yoda, I mean, Catherine played on the beach together

Look at those beautiful shells. To think that God designed each of those shells -- how much more does he have the beautiful details of my life in his hands!!!

Beautiful baby -- I think she's been eating sand!

Yup, still Wednesday.

After the beach, we went to the pool for a while. We put Catherine on a raft and boy, is she a little diva! She loved laying on the raft. Later in the week when she saw the raft she would get so excited!

We went inside for a quick bite to eat and then headed back out to the beach with Adam, Mel and Grace.

Here is a view of our condo from the beach. These are NOT our rooms. Our room had a side-view of the ocean. Our room is not far from the American flag you see on the left in this picture.

Still Wednesday . . .

Aaron took lots of great pictures of Catherine on the beach (I was videoing). He especially wanted to capture how much sand was on Catherine -- the picture doesn't do her justice. She was covered throughout!

This is definitely not as cute as the pictures of Catherine, but it is neat. It is a stingray that a man caught with a net not far from where we were. eeeeeewwww!

What a beautiful baby!

"I love the beach!"

Isn't it neat how you can see her reflection in the sand?

Gulf Shores, Day 4 (Wed, June 20), cont.

(Don't worry, the wave was not that powerful by the time it got to Catherine!)

Don't eat the sand, Catherine!

Gulf Shores Day 4, cont (Wed, June 20)

An older couple was sitting near us on the beach and offered to take our family picture for us -- wasn't that sweet?

I moved my chair to wear the waves were coming up on the sand. At first, Catherine was in my lap, but slowly, I moved her to where she was sitting on the sand and the waves were hitting her directly. She liked it!

There she goes!

Hey, where'd the water go?

Gulf Shores - Day 4 (Wed., June 20)

Well, on Tuesday afternoon, Adam hurt his neck while riding one of the waves in the ocean. It hurt so bad that he decided to go to the doctor to have it checked out. Luckily, it was just pain in his muscle around the neck and nothing else. He only wore the neck brace at the hospital while waiting. We all took turns trying it on; let's just say, I wouldn't want to wear it long.

While Adam and Melanie were at the hospital, Aaron and I took the girls to the pool. Grace Ann likes her ladybug float!

That evening, we went to the beach. Notice there are no waves in the ocean. It was much cooler (though still quite warm) than it had been the previous times were were there. Aaron set up our umbrella so we could sit in the shade and enjoy God's beautiful creation.

We placed Catherine on a blanket on the sand with some toys. She seemed much more comfortable (can you tell?!).
