More Party Fun (Feb. 23, 2008)

After swimming, the kids changed and chowed down on fruit, chocolate-dipped pretzels, icecream and cupcakes! Yum!! (Isn't Catherine so cute sitting at the table?!!)

. . . but she loved the cupcake more! She was not happy when we wouldn't let her have another one! She REALLY enjoyed that cupcake! :)

Pool Party Fun! (Feb. 23, 2008)

Alex & Sophie had a joint party this year -- a pool party in the middle of winter! What a great idea!Here's Catherine initial feelings about going to a pool party. I guess she didn't remember how much she loved the pool on our vacation. :)

After a while, she warmed up to the pool and became a regular fish in the sea. Well, as long as she could still have her head above water. The indoor pool was so nice, but boy was it hot in the pool area! It truly felt like summer in there, despite the fact that it was only 40 degrees outside!

Grammy's finest hour (Feb. 16, 2008)

Catherine is blessed to have wonderful grandparents on both sides who love to play with her and simply love her so very much. Grammy is very sweet to play with Catherine -- even if it requires sticking post-it notes on her head. Now that is true love! :)

Catherine thinks it is normal to wear a post-it on your head! :)

Catherine Rocking? (Feb. 16, 2008)

I know you may think Catherine is falling asleep while rocking . . . .

. . . but you would be wrong. As soon as "Junior" stops singing, Catherine's head pops up and makes him sing again! She never has been one to rock to sleep.

Rocking again? I think she's just trying to wrap her Grammy & Poppy around her little finger. Mission accomplished! :)

From the love of my life (Feb. 2008)

My sweet husband surprised me on Feb. 13 with these beautiful flowers. The picture doesn't do them justice. They were beautiful for almost 2 weeks!!!!

Aaron, I just love you so very much. Thank you for being such a great husband to me and a great Daddy to Catherine. I love you!

Room for one more (Feb. 2008)

Aunt Melanie found these Elmo and Zoe dolls while she was cleaning out her attic/garage. She knew just who would love and adore them: Catherine! Elmo and Zoe have had many wild adventures with Catherine so far. Here they are riding on Betty Butterfly!

Catherine the Mail Lady (Feb. 2008)

Catherine loves going through the mail with me. She espeically loves it when we get junk mail -- because I hand it off to her. She makes great use out of it -- like hats! If any of you are interested in purchasing a junk mail hat from her, just let me know. hee hee!!!

Catherine also loves boxes!! You've probably seen many pictures on our blog of Catherine sitting in different boxes. This is a box that she received from Grandma that had a Dora Valentine's book. She LOVES that book -- but she also LOVED trying to sit in that wee little box!!

Our little Rocker (Feb. 2008)

Andrew & Ashley brought down their Rockband game for us to play. Catherine LOVES it when we play. She cheers and gets so excited and asks for more after every song. Andrew passed his guitar over for her to try it out! She loved it. She especially loved "talking" into the microphone. Here she's saying, "Thank you very much!" ha ha ha -- actually it looks like she is licking the microphone --sorry, Andrew! :)

What every rocker needs . . . . a nice pair of heels! :)

Happy Birthday Aaron and Andrew & Ashley! (Feb. 2008)

We celebrated Aaron's birthday with family -- of course! Andrew & Ashley and Daniel, Christy, Hannah & Benjamin all came down for the celebration. I made Aaron an "Aunt Wynelle" cake with the Yankees logo (a sad rendition). :)

Ashley just celebrated her birthday that week too. And Andrew, well, always celebrates with Aaron!

Catherine wasn't awake for the birthday cake that night, but here she is coloring the card she gave Daddy!

Fun Moments in February (Feb 2008)

Superbowl Cake (the worst decorated one yet, but it still tasted good). Soon after this picture was taken, Catherine stuck her finger in the icing. :)

Catherine and Daddy playing "Ring around the Rosie." She loves singing and dancing to that song. Sometimes we catch her just twirling around and falling down at random times.

Cheese again! :)

Catherine really enjoys working puzzles. We have been so impressed with how much she has picked up so quickly. She can place many letters in the puzzle without help. Her attention span rarely lets her complete the full puzzle alone right now, though. :)

Rockin' and Cheesin' (Jan 2008)

Andrew came down for a visit one Saturday. He and Aaron played RockBand and Guitar Hero! Catherine Loves it when they play. When a song is over she claps, cheers and asks for more!!

SNOW!! Don't laugh, we are quite proud of our slight dusting! Catherine liked being outside in it. You can see some of the snowflakes falling (they are a little distorted in the picture, though)
