Rocking with Daddy (May 27)

After we returned home from church on Sunday, Aaron brought Catherine inside for her nap. She had fallen asleep on the way home (before we even got on the main highway!). She was exhausted. Aaron sat down with her and rocked her back to sleep (she woke up when he got her out of the car).

It was such a sweet moment to see her so peaceful.

Even Daddy fell asleep for a while! :)

Fun with the Chanders (May 25)

While the kids were enjoying playing together, we adults were having some fun enjoying a little cookie dough. This will have to be a tradition for each of their visits!! :) Sorry, Luke, maybe you can have some when you are a little older!

Fun with the Chandler Cousins! (May 25)

The Chandlers came for a visit during part of the Memorial Day weekend. Catherine was especially excited to have some playmates!!

Catherine even had her first bathtub friend! John David was napping and missed out on the fun!

Luke enjoyed spraying Catherine with water from the squirt toys!

I Couldn't Resist! (May 24)

I know I will have to apologize to Catherine later in life for these pictures, but I just couldn't resist!! She's just so cute!!!

Now that Catherine stands up (while holding on to something), I get her ready for her bath in the bathroom. She gets so exctited about bath time that she tries to climb in by herself! Bath time is even more fun when there are bubbles!

Back in the Toy Box (May 16)

Once again, instead of playing with the toys, Catherine is enjoying playing with the toy box! Little did I know that when I purchased the toy box, I was really purchasing another toy!!!

For some reason, Catherine was enjoying having her and Daddy put their heads in the box together. It was so cute -- and I must say, funny to see my husband sticking his head in a toy box!

Evidently whatever is in the box is pretty interesting. It's too bad there wasn't any room for me -- but then, who would take the picture?! :)

How much wood could a woodchuck chuck? (May 16)

This is how we typically find Catherine in her crib now -- standing up (though not always with a smile!).

The title of this entry has to do with the fact that Catherine has been "eating" her crib. If you look at the above picture, you can see that I've added crib teething rails to the lower crib rail. Sadly, I don't know what to put on the round rail to keep her from biting it. Oh, well, it just adds character to the crib, right?

Who can resist that happy face? :)

Happy Mother's Day (Pics from May 6)

My first official Mother's Day (with a baby out of the womb) was spent not exactly the way I planned it. We were supposed to have Catherine's Baby Dedication at church that morning, but sadly, Aaron woke up in the middle of the night VERY sick (I'll spare you the details).

These pictures were from a week prior to Mother's Day. I was on the floor after a busy morning of keeping the nursery at church. Catherine decided to greet me and then lay down for just a second.

Then she started giving me "kisses."

My face in the previous picture makes perfect sense when you realize that this is what was coming at me -- a toothy, slobbery baby. But, oh, what a precious baby she is! Thank you, Lord, for my sweet baby girl!!!

Big Bathtub Fun (May 12)

Catherine has graduated from her baby bathtub to the big bathtub! She was starting to try to climb out of the other one!

Catherine loves to play with the water coming out of the faucet.

Doesn't the water look so cool in these pictures!

Baby in the basket (May 6)

I purchased some white baskets to organize some of Catherine's toys.
Aaron decided to put Catherine in it one evening while he was babysitting her. She LOVED it.

Catherine likes to feed Daddy Easter eggs!

Catherine sometimes doesn't even want to get out of the basket!

Our 10 month old! (May 5)

Look how big and beautiful our little girl is!

She is crawling everywhere and even trying to stand, with little luck!
She's learned how to crawl around even with the obstacle of her dress.

Baby Beethoven in the Making!

Catherine is already learning to play the piano! She found the keys!

Ahhh . . . they make noise!
Those Baby Einstein videos are paying off. Ha ha!

I thought this was a sweet picture of their hands together!

Eating like a big girl! (May 1&14)

Catherine is doing a good job learning to eat new foods. Here she is eating pork-n-beans.

As you can see, not all the food makes it to the mouth. Sometimes, it is better placed just below the eye! :)

Catherine LOVES bananas. She gets excited about them whenever she sees them -- even in the store!

And yes, bananas are good when placed on the nose and cheek, too!
