We celebrated Catherine's 2nd Birthday a week after her actual birthday. We had the party at our house with our family and a few special friends. Aaron decorated the famous "Aunt Wynelle" cake with Dora the explorer. I think he did an excellent job!!!
Again, Catherine wouldn't blow out the candles -- as you can sort of see, I am blowing them out for her. Before we had the cake, the kids were playing outside and Catherine fell down, so she was a little grumpy after that. :( After she ate the cake she perked up . . . could it be all that yummy sugar?! If you look closely, you can see that Catherine's lips are a little black. That is because before we sang the birthday song, she leaned down and tried to eat the cake (with her lips landing on Dora's hair). :)
I was able to stop Catherine from digging into the cake face first, but before I moved the cake from the table, Catherine was quick enough to stick her finger in the cake. :) I think she likes it!

Great job on the Dora Cake, Aaron!! I love that last picture of Catherine with her fork digging into that cake!! Sorry that we missed out on the fun. :(
The cake not only looked good, it tasted really yummy!! Catherine finished her piece of cake, then wanted to eat Sophie's cake beside her. So, Catherine got a second piece of cake. Catherine definitely has good taste!
